Using variable brainwave entrainment techniques like binaural beats, it encourages changes in the brainwaves activity favoring deep states of relaxation.  Music professional counselors have used this popular and licensed music, and meditation teachers, featured in Christopher’s music include Deepak Chopra and also, some U.S. army bases, use it to help soldiers suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Valeria Arango Vélez, MD

My story is your story

Valeria Arango, MD, and creator of Healing Presents, shares her journey and inspiration to develop this beautiful project: 

“My story is also their story. As a cancer survivor (when I was a young teenager), and now as a medical doctor with integrative medicine studies at Harvard University and the University of Arizona, I understand firsthand the emotional needs that patients experience during their cancer journeys. Based on my own personal and professional experience, and to positively impact and improve cancer care, I created an App that as a complement to the pharmacology oncology treatments,  helps patients to better cope with the emotional daily challenges of their cancer journey. I was motivated to create a  tool that could help create soulful, peaceful encouragement, resilience, and sacred moments through meditations and mindfulness, for cancer patients all around the world.

Healing Presents is an oncology App created with scientifically proven Mind-Body therapies, implementing awareness, quality of life, and psycho-physiological wellbeing during each moment of the cancer journey. It is carefully designed to help address the emotional challenges and meant to improve the care and the overall experience of cancer patients, as a complement to the pharmacology oncology treatments,  helps patients to better cope with the emotional daily challenges of their cancer journey.

The Baobab, represented in our logo, is a tree that grows in dry and arid lands and symbolizes resilience, beauty, and life. While using the App, patients are encouraged to remember that their strength and resilience can be as big as a Baobab Tree.”

Dr. Valeria Arango holds a B.A. in Medicine from CES University in Colombia; is a fellow of Integrative Medicine from Arizona University in the U.S., and finished studies in acupuncture at Harvard University and at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She loves to study and practice Mind and Body therapies, she discovered this medicine trough her personal life experience and has learned more about them inspired by great Mentors.  Love, heal, and serve are her highest priorities; she loves to live a spiritual, kindness and loving life, helping people to live more mindful, happier, and healthier.
